HARRIS CLASH WEBCAST SET FOR JULY 7-8 ON RACECASTLIVE.com
[Knoxville, IA] - - The 2009 IMCA Harris Clash will be webcasted
July 7-8, 2009 on RaceCastLive.com. The boys of RaceRPM.com
have moved their annual free radio broadcast to
www.RaceCastLive.com
this year. This partnership will allow for a new experience for
the RaceRPM.com loyalists this year. Bucky Doren and Chris
Marchese will start each night's broadcast at 6:50 PM (cdt).
For those race fans who are unable to make the trip to the famed
Knoxville Raceway will be able to hear all the action on
RaceCastLive.com. It's the first year that the Harris Clash
will race with a two-day format. On Tuesday, July 7th, 120 IMCA
Modifieds will battle for the covetted "Clash" win. On
Wednesday, July 8th, the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series Late
Models and IMCA SportMods will fight for the Knoxville fame.
One of the new features that RaceRPM.com loyalists will enjoy is
the live chat feature thanks to RaceCastLive.com. Fans can chat
with other race fans from across the country as they cheer on
their favorite drivers.
"It's a chance for race fans to 'show their colors' as we like
to call it," stated Bucky Doren. "Everyone heads the track
wearing their favorite driver's shirt, so everyon will know who
you are pulling for. This will allow the 1,000's listening to
still show their 'their colors.'"
Adding to the excitement level on Tuesday night is the new
qualifying format for the IMCA Modifieds.
"We're going to change it up a little bit," stated IMCA Harris
Clash promoter Bob Harris. "We are going to run six qualifying
events. These qualifying events will be like an 'A' feature.
They are going to be fifteen laps. They are going to be twenty
cars in each race. Out of that, we will take the top four
qualifiers. We'll turnaround and run six last-chance qualifier
events – which will be probably twelve laps in length, so it
will be like twelve A-Mains leading up to the main event."
Special thanks to RaceTechInfo.com, Tri-County Heating, and
ZippsPhotos.com for helping make this radio web cast free to the
race fans.
